This is an absolutely awesome car charger. After trying without success to get a decent charge from my Honda Accord's built-in USB port, I decided to take a different tack and buy this one, which draws its power from the cigarette lighter. The difference is astounding! I have a Google Pixel 2 and loe listening to audiobooks on it, but that draws a lot of power from the phone. Add in using Google maps and I was constantly losing all phone power in the middle of a trip or having to sweat it out or pull over to re-charge. But this thing works GREAT. I now arrive at my destination with 100% power and can listen to all of the audiobooks I want. It works even faster than my wall plug charger, works great even when you're draining it with multiple apps and it has not damaged my phone in any way whatsoever after four months of use. I add this because I think the reviewer who claimed it hurt his Pixel 2 is way off base -- it's perfectly safe with mine . It may sound like a minor thing to love a car charger so much, but I drive a lot and it's a joy to be able to listen to audiobooks without worrying I'll drain my phone of power and then not be able to navigate with the phone's GPS. And arriving at your destination with 100% is also a joy when you end up in the middle of nowhere and want to hike with enough power to call for help, if need be, or if (like a few weekends ago) you're camping at a music festival and need a way to quickly recharge without waiting in a long line to use the one wall outlet.. I've also powered up my phone at the same time my daughter is using the USB port for her iPhone and she charges just fine while I use the Anker. I paired this with a "USB Type C Cable,3 Pack Extra Long Google Pixel 3 Charger Cable,10Ft 6Ft 3Ft Samsung S9 Cable, Durable Braided" cord, by the way, at another reviewer's suggestion and am extremely happy with the combo. From here on out, it's Anker chargers for me...

Before setting my eyes on this I purchased a Philips 60W charger, because I wanted something that I could use with my MacBook Pro 15 while in my car, in addition to charging phones. The Phillips is supposedly able to deliver 3A@20V via PD, but unfortunately when connected my laptop never detected the power source, regardless of which USB-C cables I tried including the OEM cable that came with the laptop. Then I connected a Surface Laptop 3 which works with 30W (2A@15V) PD chargers, it would keep flapping between its battery and the Philips charger as the power source. There is a Samsung OEM charger with a 45W USB-C PD port and a 15W USB-A port, but it is not carried by any large retailer except AT&T Wireless and the few reviews I was able to find weren't exactly glowing. Then I came across this Anker charger. I was not aware that 1.5A@20V was a valid PD profile, but apparently it works! When connected, it is able to charge my MacBook Pro - it is slow especially while the laptop is in use but works well enough for me, I actually have a 120V outlet in the vehicle, the Apple OEM charger is heavy and falls out of the outlet easily so it is not practical when the vehicle is in motion. The Anker charger works well with my Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 as well. My Note 10+ phone is capable of 45W charging, I am unable to get more than 15W even when plugged into the 30W PD port, but it is not really a surprise as there must be something proprietary in how Samsung devices talk to each other, because I have not seen any non-Samsung power source deliver more. Overall this is a great value and highly recommended.

Purchased due to lighting deal discount, and wasn't sure it would be compatible with my Google Pixel 3xl for Rapid Charging. Using an Anchor c-to-c 2.0 cable (powerline+), IT WORKED!!! I've only used it twice, but both times my phone rapid charged without interruption.
It did not rapid charge using the Anchor USB 3.0-to-c cable - but it didn't show the "slowly charging" message, either.
I have not tested this with any other device - I specifically purchased this to charge my pixel 3xl while traveling.
Have not left it plugged into the charging port while the vehicle is turned off, so not sure if it will drain car battery. I haven't noticed any lights/charging indicators while using it (during the day) so not sure if leaving it plugged in would be an issue.

Update 10/2019
There is a blue ring that lights up when plugged into the charging port. In my vehicle, this light turns off when the car is off. I still don't leave the adapter plugged in over night, but I suspect it does not continue to draw off the car's battery.
I do notice my phone will get a little warm, but I have not had any issues with overheating or damage to the charging port on my phone. I take the phone's case off if I intend to leave it plugged into the adapter for more than just a few minutes, but that's mostly because I have a cheap-quality case. I do have an Anker USB C-to-C cable, I don't know if this has contributed to my success with using this charger. I am seriously considering buying another Anker adapter/cable, because my spouse constantly takes mine out of my vehicle and I hate being without it. Still 5 stars.

The I have used several products from Anker and this charger is just as great. As expected, quality and finish is Premium true to the Brand.

I had the opportunity to use this extensively during a recent long road trip of over 15 hours. With gps navigation continuously running I needed something to keep the phone charged fast at regular intervals. I used the PD port to charge an IPhone 13 ProMax. The charging is impressively fast just like an original Apple charger used on the desk. The contacts are good and the connection holds good even during frequent jolts in the vehicle. This charger will not let you down while you are on the move for sure.

The fast charging in USB A port also works fine for Android phones.

I love the blue light indication when the power is connected to car charging slot properly. It’s a very useful and practical feature.

Overall, I am very satisfied, no regrets despite its rather high pricing. Its worth that money.
