Hey there,

seems like the project is pretty much on hold right now, correct? Just wondering if somebody else knows about a successor or similar project, before I start using and building/investing time on top of this :)

Cheers,

Sascha

I was also expecting additional developments before now. I wonder if the Owner can update us? This is a promising and revealing project. The counter surveillance aspect is a bit misguided though. Creating a hotlist for plates and faces with remote notification...now that is something that could really be useful.

I'm willing to continue this forward! There's been quite a bit of progress in hardware in the last few years. You should be able to do this with very small power usage nowadays using a Raspberry Pi 4 + Coral USB ML accelerator.

Hi, Another interested person.
I also wanted to detect situations where cars would do things like parking ilegally or break any other traffic laws and automatically send that over to local police. In our country there is a public DB with email contacts from all police depts and the police is obligated to look into it by law.
