I tried to update my installation of pialert using the one-step process on the github instructions.

It ended up failing on the Raspberry Pi I am running pihole on (and which I have pialert running).

I tried to restore the pialert directory from the .tar file backup that the upgrade script automatically made.

However, when I visit the pialert website and try to go to Devices, it gives me this error. Also has a similar error on the alerts page.

DataTables warning: table id=tableDevices - Invalid JSON response. For more information about this error, please see http://datatables.net/tn/1

Any ideas on what is going on and how to recover?

BTW, the backend still appears to work since I still get alert update emails. It looks like it is just the front end?

I'd love to see the solution to this as it has been the one thing that I cannot get past. Did you ever get this resolved? (And how if you did)
